Rebates

Government rebates are designed to make renewable energy and energy-efficient upgrades more affordable and accessible. From solar panel installations to battery storage, heat pumps, and other efficiency improvements, these incentives help reduce the upfront cost of going green while delivering long-term savings on energy bills.

STC Rebates

Take advantage of the Small-scale Technology Certificates (STC) rebates to significantly reduce the upfront cost of your solar installation.

These government-backed incentives are designed to make renewable energy more affordable for Australian households and businesses. When you install a solar power system, you generate a number of STCs based on your system size, location, and the amount of renewable energy it is expected to produce. These certificates have a monetary value and can be traded or assigned to your installer (like us at Solar Solver) in exchange for an immediate discount on your solar system.

Immediate Savings – At Solar Solver, we handle the STC process for you, so your rebate is applied directly to your system price.

By claiming STCs, you’re not only cutting your initial investment but also contributing to Australia’s transition to a cleaner, greener energy future.

VEECs (Victorian Energy Efficiency Certificates)

Victorian Energy Efficiency Certificates (VEECs) are part of Victoria’s government-run VEU (Victorian Energy Upgrades) program, designed to make energy-efficient technologies more accessible for homes and businesses.

When you replace an old, inefficient appliance—like a water heater, air conditioner, lighting, or heating system—with a certified energy-saving one, an accredited provider can generate VEECs based on how much greenhouse gas is avoided. Each certificate represents one tonne of CO₂ equivalent saved.

Instead of you having to manage all the red tape, VEECs are typically handled by the installer or provider. They claim the certificate and use it to offset costs, so you get a discount or rebate on the purchase. The result? Lower upfront costs, reduced bills, and less environmental impact.
